Backstreet Enters Their Last Month In Vegas

It was the Fall of 2016 when the Backstreet Boys announced their 3 month Vegas residency and now they are two weeks away from beginning the end of their Summer 2017 stint at Planet Hollywood.

Like many things in BSB history, the shows have been above and beyond successful, becoming the fastest-selling residency in Vegas history. Nearly every concert the Boys have performed since March has been sold out or close to it, with the Axis Theatre opening up the balcony for seating for the first time ever! It seems that everyone finally knows that Backstreet is back and it’s not just the ladies; a large number of male fans have joined the ranks, singing along to every song, as well as the next generation of BSB fans, accompanying their parents. The show is for literally everyone.

This success has not come without years of hard work though. "We didn't get the lottery ticket. We got a chance to have a lottery ticket. And we worked really hard to make that dream come true," Kevin Richardson told CBS news in a recent interview. Watch the video below as Kevin, Howie, AJ, Brian, and Nick discuss their road to Vegas, how it is to perform their hits now, and which Backstreet Boy is Ava McLean’s favorite.

Oh, and if you’ve seen the show and you’re drooling over the wardrobe, check out all the behind-the-scenes decisions and work that goes into choosing the Boys outfits for this show. If you haven’t seen the show yet, you’re in for a treat! They’re looking better than ever – sequins, silver boots, and all.

VICE also recently sat down with the Backstreet Boys to discuss the benefits of Vegas, the fans, and their many years together while also giving viewers an exclusive sneak peek backstage before one of the shows. “So it’s not that Backstreet’s back…they’ve been here,” narrates interviewer Stacey Sommer.

Tell us something we don’t know.

If you can’t wait until the Boys are back in Vegas to see them, they will also be hitting KTUphoria in New York and iHeartSummer ’17 in Miami the next two weekends. Interested? Get more info here.
