6 New Year Resolutions for Backstreet Boys Fans

The New Year is here and like most people, Backstreet Boys fans are setting their own resolutions. Why shouldn’t we? We are skilled, enthusiastic and determined people who when we set our mind to it, can accomplish anything.

After all, 2016 is going to be the year of Backstreet. They’ve said it and we’re ready for it.

So let’s get started.

1.  JOIN THE FAN CLUB

If you haven’t already - or you let yours expire - get ready to join the Backstreet Boys official fan club! With the boys getting ready to get back into motion with recording, the cruise and more, it WILL be your one place to find everything official.

Plus, the boys team hinted that they would have information about new fan club packages soon. Can anything top those leggings from last time?

2.  GO INTERNATIONAL

Tax season is just around the corner, and there is no place better way to use that tax return than with Rose Tours and the 2016 Backstreet Boys cruise. We can officially say that the cruise is this year and there are still a few cabins left! While you’re enjoying a Mediterranean cruise, enjoy a concert and other things featuring your favorite five guys.

3.  TRAVEL

If you are unable to do the Backstreet Boys cruise, make a resolution to travel to see them somewhere - whether that’s someone in North America or Europe (or wherever they start the tour). Gather up a few friends to split the hotel room, start racking up those frequent flyer miles and get that passport out. Go see the boys somewhere exciting and make a trip out of it.

4.  BUT FIRST… LET ME TAKE A SELFIE

The new thing when fans meet their idols is selfies. Back in the day, it was getting an autograph. Now, it’s turning your phone around, putting your head close to theirs and smiling. And with the invention of selfie sticks, it makes it that much easier.

Everybody has that one boy that they do not have a selfie with (or if you have any at all). For me, it was AJ McLean. In 2014, I set out to make that my Backstreet Resolution - get that AJ selfie. It seemed like it took forever to get that first AJ selfie at a show that summer and then I got three more on the cruise randomly. It can happen. Just be nice and sweet about it and anything can happen.

5.  GO SOLO

All boy band members seem to be doing solo work this year between Nick Carter and AJ McLean to even some of the New Kids on the Block members. If you’ve never seen one of the boys without the others, you should try it. Nick Carter will be on tour beginning late February and AJ is bound to do some appearances for his album that is set to be released this year. Go to www.NickCarter.net  to see if Nick is coming near you.

6.  GO PLATINUM

When the boys go back on tour, go all out and do a Platinum VIP. Having that badge of honor hang from your neck while walking through the crowd and getting that solo pic, while having front row for soundcheck makes it all worth it. There’s no VIP like Platinum VIP.

Plus, like this fan did, you can get really creative with your photos and nothing is more fun than an interesting Backstreet Boys group photo.

This year is going to be a big year for the Backstreet Boys and for us fans. Get ready, set your resolutions and get ready to party like it’s 1999 (no pun intended).
