Here is the deal on the passports:
"The fee for a first-time passport book for an adult is climbing from $100 up to $135 -- a minor (under age 16) will now have to pay $105 for a new passport book, up from $85. And passport renewals will climb from $75 up to $110. The last time the State Department hiked up these fees was February 1, 2008, when they increased each fee by about $3 ... nothing like this increase. Why the steep new fees? The Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Passport Services says that State needs to charge this much money to "keep one step ahead of the resourceful and technologically savvy criminals, terrorists groups, and subversive elements bent on doing our nation harm." Brenda Sprague said that the money goes to "research and development, production, and implementation of new technologies" and that the fees help "cover the costs of fraud prevention initiatives such as facial recognition." Sprague also said that the passport fees also help maintain U.S. presence overseas. These fees are not likely to be implemented until April.
Okay it would be really nice to have a price by now. I know for me personally I'm not made of money!! Although I wish I was. =) I just hope prices aren't too bad. This waiting for info is killing me. TELL US HOW MUCH IT WILL COST......PLEASE!!!!! Okay enough whinning for now.

I heard passport fees are going up so if you don't have one you should get it soon
i agree wth BSB girl 4EVA!!...they just waiting so more and more ppl became members of the club so at leats they get the 40$...hehe
