The most significant moment in BSB history had to have been the Around the World in 72 hour tour for the Black and Blue release. The scope and magnitude of that release was unlike anything ever seen or one before. Not to mention, the droves of fans in every corner of the globe coming out to show their love and support. It was incredible.

I think the most significant moment in BSB History is when they got their Hollywood Walk of Fame Star for all of their hard work and effort and love put into all that they do. They have touched so many lives through the years, and continue to do so with the music made through their God-Given talent.

The most significant moment in Backstreet history has to be when they shut down time square. This was the moment when not only the boys knew that they made it big, but every fan fell in love with them even more that day! I remember rushing home from school that day to watch them on TRL. Even though I had my VCR set to record them, just like I did ever other time they were on tv, I knew I had to watch them live.

As a fan I could list a number of significance in BSB history. The most important I think would be the first several music videos. I'm not an 80s kid but I know the significance that MTV had on the evolution of the music industry. It gave a face to the music and a face to the artist. During the 90s my music came from cassettes, Cds and the radio. As a child being able to put a face with those who made the music you enjoy is the most significant moment to me. This exposed us to the band in a different way other than the occasional concert. While in the last 25 years they have achieved so much, and shattered our minds with the amazing things they've done what brought us to them is the music and the music videos played a huge part in that as well. The three that stand out to me are Quit Playing Games from 96, Everybody from 97 and As Long As You Love Me also in 97. By the time ALAYLM debuted they had already created 7 other videos. They have achieved so many things I try to pull from what is significant and the simplicity of being a fan as I feel that's what created my love for them.

I think the most significant moment in BSB history is when they got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because it was acknowledgment of all the hard work and sacrifices the band has made over the years.

I think the most significant moment was when the boys earned their star on the walk of fame. That was one of my favorite moments because I felt they should have had it long before then. I remember watching the video of them receiving it and was very emotional because they were emotional. I was so proud to be their fan and to see them get the recognition they deserved after so many years in the music industry.

I think the most significant moment in BSB history was the release of Millennium in 1999. It sold over 1 million copies in the first week, which unlike Black & Blue and Nsync's No Strings Attached, it did when no one really expected it to do THAT well. By the time NSA and B&B came around, the benchmark had been set and now it was everyone out there buying multiple copies to try and break the record. I just think Millennium put BSB on another level that a lot of people in the music industry didn't anticipate. Plus, Millennium also generated 5 Grammy nominations. I know BSB went home empty handed, but it was still a very monumental moment especially being up for Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Plus, the Millennium release was followed by the epic Into the Millennium Tour which broke so many records (once again, unexpectedly) and placed them as one of the performers of the year. It was also epic because the ITM tour was the first time I was able to see BSB live when they came to Iowa City on November 2nd, 1999. I can remember watching MTV at my grandma's during the summer (think it was July) and MTV had "breaking news" and it was the announcement of the ITM tour dates for the United States and I watched with gleeful anticipation as the dates scrolled down the screen and there it was...Iowa...I never would have thought they would come to Iowa only because we sometimes have a hard time drawing big name acts...but it was literally like Christmas in July for my 12 year old heart. It was totally unexpected too because I had no idea when an announcement would be coming about the tour. Thankfully, I have a wonderful older cousin who was in college at the time and was willing to camp out in line at the box office so she could score us tickets when they went on sale the next morning. Yes, I know there are many other significant moments the Boys have had along the way, but to me, the release of Millennium and the BSB mania that followed was most significant in my opinion. I appreciate all of the memories the Boys have given us along their journey. I hope to see them in 2018. KTBSPA. - Emily P.

To me, I think it was the time when AJ went on Oprah show and all the Boys showed up. It was like the first time they all got together in public after the hiatus. They were not there to perform or promote, but to support AJ. That was a very touching moment, and it lead to the return with the Never Gone album and so on. Above all the amazing accomplishments the Boys has achieved, I think their brotherhood is the key to make them who they are today. That makes them stand out from other bands. And I believe it was an important moment in the BSB history.
