My first memory was getting a cassette tape and my very first backstreet boys t-shirt when I was just 7 years old. I played it nonstop and knew all the words by heart in a few short weeks. I knew from that day forward I will always have room in my heart for some Backstreet Boys Magic. Being the only girl that in my family of 5 brothers, these 5 additional guys got me through a lot of stuff growing up. Now I get to share the love I have for them with my son. I had them playing while in labor and he came into this world listening to the magic of their voices. #ThanksBoys

My first Backstreet Boys memory is when I first their Get Down music video. There was no internet back then in the Philippines, so the only way for me to get information(s) about then was going to the local school supply store where they also sell a magazine with song lyrics in it. I would save my allowance to buy the magazine just so I can read it up about them. I have to say, it was so worth it, because I never did imagine I will be able to have the experiences I had ( have ) with them years later.

Seeing them in Super Teen magazine in 1995. Then I saw them for the first time that year in Roanoke,Va at a Back to School radio event. I became a fan and I still am!

It was 1997 and I was channel surfing. I ended up on VH1 and all of a sudden I see wet shirts, abs, and dudes in the rain. I immediately called my friend so she could turn her TV to the same channel and watch the hotness on the screen. The song was catchy and I waited until the end of the video to see what group this was because I was in LOVE! Turned out to be the Backstreet Boys with Quit Playing Games With My Heart. Got the album soon after and still in love.

My first memory of the Backstreet Boys was when the "I want it that way" video hit TRL and everyday I would come home from school just to see it. Needless to say, Millennium was my first BSB album but now of course I own all of them. My walls became plastered with their pictures soon after that and they were also my first concert. I didn't think I would ever get to see them. I was on my mom's car phone (yes, the ones that were setup in cars) and she was on the home phone and we were both calling in to get tickets. First show sold out within seconds and I remember crying like a big ole baby thinking that I wasn't going to get to see them when they announced a second show and my mom got through the phone lines and ordered tickets. I realize this is more than one memory but I couldn't help myself :)

My first memory is July 18th 1998. My best friend called asking if I would go to a Backstreet Boys concert with her that night. I didn't know what a Backstreet Boy was. I wanted to spend time with her and I'd never been to a concert before so it seemed like a good idea.... whoever these dudes were. Off I went a few hours later, completely oblivious to the fact that my life would be forever changed that night. The show, of course, was entrancing. I stayed up all night writing them letters to express how amazed I was. The next day my cousin (who has recently passed away) saw how much fun I had and she surprised me with a trip to the store to buy every magazine they had. Together, we plastered my bedroom walls and got in big trouble with my mom! Best 24 hours of my childhood!

My first memory of BSB was Christmas of 97 when I was 7 years old. I had gotten a cassette player for Christmas and my mom bought 3 cassettes to go with it: a Disney Sing-a-Long, Spice Girls, and this group called the Backstreet Boys. 7 year old me decided to try the one with the cute boys on the front and We’ve Got it Goin On started playing...the rest is history. My first memory of seeing the boys in person is 9/18/99 for the Millenium tour. I touched Howie’s hand and then coming in on those hoverboards blew my 9 year old self’s mind. A night I will never forget!

My 1st memory of backstreet boys was seeing them on a UK television programme called smash hits poll winner party in 1995 I would have been 15yrs old then. They won an award for the best new tour act from what I can remember they sang I'll never break your heart and it stayed in my head. My 2nd memory was my best friend lending me a cassette tape (Yes a cassette tape) of we've got it going on which I couldn't stop listening too. I first saw them live at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on the 19th of November 1996.

The first memory that I can recall was when I was around 11 or 12 while watching the Disney Channel. It was mid-October and in between shows they were playing music videos related to Halloween. I remember watching the Everybody video for the first time and I was mesmerized by the storyline, visuals and of course…the cute boys haha. I fell in love with the video so much that later that week I tagged along with my mom to the local drugstore because I knew they had a video rental section. I rented the All Access VHS and watched it repetitively until it had to be returned. I’ve been hooked ever since!

What's your first memory of the Backstreet Boys?
My first memory of BSB was when I was when I was in grade 6, age 11. There used to be a show that came on every Friday night called the Hit List, where they'd play the top 20 music videos that were popular, have celebrity interviews, etc. I can recall watching and seeing We've Got it Going On come on for the first time. By mid song I was bopping my head along and smiling like a fool every time "the guy with the glasses" came back into view. I can remember having the song stuck in my head all week and asking my mom to take me to HMV so I can get their cassette tape. It was a done deal from then. Every week I would watch, waiting for my boys to come on and having screaming fits every time their songs would get to number 1. Twenty two years later, I still scream like a little girl every time I hear my boys on the radio and still smile like a fool every time I see AJ a.k.a "the guy with the glasses."
