The number one thing that has kept me being a fan of backstreet boys now for 21 years is the adoration they have for us fans. It's great to see how they treat us at a meet and greet or even when they are on stage. I love how dedicated they have been to all of us on the past 24 years. This is why they have stuck around for so long. Also it helps that their music had great melodies and touches deep down in my soul.
I habe been a fan since I saw the Boys perform "The Perfect Fan" on Disnesy Channel in 1998 (I think). The music just speaks to me and has been a huge support during challenging times in my life.
Their music has helped me through my ups and downs. Their music is always there for me. I appreciate it a lot.
The answer is simple - the music.
It's just impassible for me not to feel good when listening to them. Yes the boys are very handsome but other pretty faces come and go and they don't hook me. The boys are as sweet as pie, as we all know, but if their music wasn't what it is....I just don't know if I'd be as reigned in as I am.
I'm a returning fan, who has always loved those boys even when I didn't fangirl the way I do now. From the music to how absolutely amazing and sweet they are in person. Why wouldn't you love them?! Those hearts are just the best! The time and dedication they put into their music and their shows is worthy of the love they've been getting. KTBSPA ????
What's kept me a fan? Let me count the ways! The most obvious reason would be their DEDICATION. BSB has been at it for almost 25 years. They've made a name for themselves in the music world and proven their longevity in the business. As a fan for the past 20 years, I've DEFINITELY noticed that. Musicians without drive and dedication and, very importantly, appreciation for their fans, don't typically last all that long. My sweet Boys have been plugging away at it without tiring, all while trying to have lives and get married and have babies, not to mention Kevin's departure (aka the Dark Days) and then his return (hallelujah!), all while staying true to themselves, their music and their fans. That's why I've stuck around for 20 years and looking forward to hanging on for another 20 plus!
Their music is timeless and I can always count on it to put me in a good mood. Plus they are great to us fans!
The Boys are just so amazing and genuinely love their fans! They always take the time for their fans. Millennium was my first concert when I was 9 and was surrounded by all these screaming teenagers and 20 something girls throwing their bras on stage. I could barely reach over the barrier and Howie reach out and touched my hand. Made me feel so special and still remember the moment like it was yesterday! All the girls around me looked at me so jealous lol. The fact that they are all amazing singers and shaped my love of music at an early age has always stayed with me. BSB songs have gotten me through so much in life. I will be a Backstreet fan forever! Thanks for everything Boys!
I have always loved the music, for most, of these 5 amazing, talented men. There are no simpler terms than that, as to why I have been a fan for ages. Their personalities, their sweet nature, their giving it all to the fans, is yet another reason why I will stay around forever. The lyric, though so cliche these days of 'as long as there is music, we'll be coming back again' stands so true for me too. So long as they still perform, still sing, still give as much as they can to the fans, I will be right there, cheering and supporting as long as I can.
I have loved Backstreet Boys since their very first songs came on the radio here in Canada! I pretty much instantly fell in love with Nick, but love each of the other boys in a special way, too! The very first concert I went to was Backstreet Boys in 1998 when they came to Saskatoon, Sk, Canada. My sister and I went, we were in the nose-bleed seats in the very back top of the sold out stadium and the boys were ants on the stage. But I loved every minute of it! I kept on listening and loving them throughout high school and college. I even hit the jackpot when I found, now my best friend, in college was a huge fan as well! I've tried to go to their concerts whenever they are in either Saskatchewan or Alberta, Canada. In 2008, I did my very first meet and greet in Regina, SK. I'm sure my husband thought I was crazy when I came out of the meet and greet and burst into tears. I never thought it would be possible to meet them, ever! I was the happiest person in the world. Later on in 2008, they came to Saskatoon and my best friend Michelle was able to come with me. We happened to be front row center and loved every minute. The interaction from the boys and a hug and kiss from Nick (swoon), was searing into my brain for life. I've been lucky enough to be able to do a few more VIP's since 2008 and have special memories of all of them. Backstreet Boys have kept me going through hard times like losing my father to cancer a couple years ago. Having something to look forward to like a concert or even just listening to their music and remembering all the great memories can give me such a boost. I don't think I will ever get enough of the Boys and look forward to more memories to be had! New friendships have been made from through the concerts and the fanclub. Some whom I have yet to meet, but am hoping to meet soon. My next BSB memories will be made in Vegas! My best friend and I are going to the July 1st show and can't wait. A vacation and BSB all rolled into one. Who could ask for more? KTBSPA!
